“As soon as I applied the brakes, I lost control of the vehicle, which had started to spin. The last thing I remember is going backwards down an embankment.”

So I’m going to work at the hospital very early one morning in my C320 Sedan. The road I was taking is a very exposed one with lots of twist and turns, and it was very icy and wet out. As I negotiated the different turns, I realized that conditions were actually worse than expected or forecasted — so I began to slow down. But as soon as I applied the brakes, I lost control of the vehicle, which had started to spin. The last thing I remember is going backwards down an embankment.

I awoke in the middle of a cornfield in the early morning darkness. I exited the car and walked up to the road. Luckily, a friend who had just gotten off work was able to take me home. I got to see the car the next day and COULD NOT BELIEVE I had walked away from the vehicle without a scratch.

From that day forward, I have always owned a Mercedes-Benz because I believe it truly saved my life that snowy, icy morning. Thank you for letting me share my story.
