I’ve driven the streets and freeways of Los Angeles for the last forty years, so I’ve been in a few accidents. But in August of 1999, I was involved in a major collision in which the entire front end was torn off my 400E. I walked away without a scratch or bruise.
The cops ultimately caught the drunk driver who had slammed me into the guardrail going about 60 miles per hour. Now with 255k miles on it, my 400E still drives like it did the first day we brought it home.
