Safety & Security

  • Automatic Collision Notification
    If an air bag or seat-belt Emergency Tensioning Device is activated, your Mercedes-Benz can automatically place a call to the mbrace Emergency Response Center, including reporting your location, even if you can't.
  • SOS/Emergency Call
    If you ever need help, or see someone else who does, one button in your Mercedes-Benz can connect you to trained emergency response personnel who can stay on the line until help arrives.
  • Roadside Assistance Connection
    If your Mercedes-Benz needs a jump start, its spare tire installed, or if you have any other vehicle trouble, one button puts you in touch with our legendary Roadside Assistance. Even before your conversation begins, the vehicle transmits its GPS-based location and information about its model and color to the mbrace Specialist.
  • Automatic Alarm Notification
    Your vehicle's factory-installed antitheft alarm system can send you an alert via email, text message or phone, whichever is your preference, if the alarm is triggered while the vehicle is parked.
  • Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance
    With mbrace, the GPS system that's built into your Mercedes-Benz can assist authorities with stolen vehicle recovery. Once you file a police report, a phone call to mbrace offers a safe and effective way to help the police locate and recover your car.
  • Safe Ride
    If you find yourself unable to drive, mbrace can help you contact a family member or taxi company for a ride home.
  • Valet Protect mbrace2
    This feature lets you define a mapped boundary on your smartphone when you leave the vehicle and its key with another driver such as a parking attendant. If your car exits this "virtual fence" area, Valet Protect can send you a text-message alert.

  • Search & Send™
    Search & Send lets you send an address from Google Maps on your computer directly to the COMAND navigation system in your car. When you get to your car, you can start navigatiing right away, or save the address in the system's memory.
  • Route2Benz mbrace2
    Using Google Maps on your computer, you can search for a destination and define an exact route of your preference. Route2Benz lets you send this detailed route, not just the destination, directly to your car's COMAND navigation system.
  • Drive2Friend™
    If you need to pick up a friend, they don't need to tell you where they are or how to get there. With mbrace, you can send a text message to anyone with a mobile phone that can receive ordinary SMS messages. They don't have to be mbrace subscribers or have a smartphone. When the friend replies yes to the message, mbrace automatically sends their phone's GPS-based location to your car's COMAND navigation system.
  • Toolbar Widget
    You can download a toolbar widget from mbrace that lets you highlight virtually any address on your computer screen, whether in a web browser window or a document, and send it to your car with two clicks.
  • From your smartphone
    With the mbrace Mobile App, it's easy to send virtually any destination from your smartphone directly to your car's navigation system. Whether you find a location on a map, in your own phonebook, or just type in an address, you can be on your way with just a few taps.
  • Remote Door Lock/Unlock
    Lock or unlock your vehicle from virtually any location with a few taps on your smartphone. In addition to the Mobile App, you can also do this via the mbrace website or with a phone call to the mbrace Response Center.
  • Remote Horn & Lights (via Mobile App) mbrace2
    Help locate your car in a crowded lot, or call attention to it in an emergency, by remotely sounding the horn and flashing the exterior lights for a period of five seconds. The feature is also accessible through the mbrace website.
  • Vehicle Finder (via Mobile App)
    View your car's location on a map on your smartphone, helpful if you've forgotten where you parked.
  • Dealer Connect
    Easily contact your preferred dealer, or receive assistance in finding one that's nearby, with the push of a button in your car. A live assistant can not only look up the dealer for you, but also place the call to connect you to the desired department.
  • Vehicle Information
    From setting the clock to understanding an indicator light, you can connect to a trained product specialist with the push of a button in your car, anytime you have a question about your car and its features.

  • Route Assistance
    Enjoy operator-assisted turn-by-turn route instructions to virtually any destination, including more than 15 million Points of Interest (POIs) in our database. The assistant can also download the POI directly to your car's COMAND navigation system.
  • Location-Based Traffic
    Hear up-to-date voice-delivered traffic information in your car, based on your current vicinity or along up to eight preferred routes that you set up online.
  • Location-Based Weather
    Listen to the latest weather conditions, forecasts and alerts, based on your current location.

  • Google Local Search
    Wherever you drive, use Google to find destinations, then see them with two additional Google features: Street View lets you see 360-degree views of the location, and Panoramio lets Google users upload their own photos of places. You can save your search results for later use, directly place a call to a phone number listed in the results via your car's Bluetooth system, and directly download the destination to the navigation system.
  • Yelp
    Search actual user reviews of restaurants and businesses with Yelp, based on location and a variety of categories. You can then select a destination and directly send its address to the navigation system.
  • Internet Browsing
    Surf the Web while you're safely parked, using the built-in browser of your car's COMAND system and mbrace.
  • Facebook
    Stay connected to friends with Facebook, and navigate directly to places where they've checked in. You can also view and post to your Wall, manage friend lists, and check into locations yourself.
  • News
    Keep up-to-date on the latest online news from around the world. You can even share news stories via email or Facebook.

Does my vehicle support mbrace2?

All vehicles starting with model year 2013, except S-Class and CL-Class models, include the mbrace2 hardware standard. On 2012 and earlier models equipped with the mbrace hardware, all features are available except those exclusive to mbrace2.
