Handcrafted horsepower. Seamless thrust. Seemingly endless.

Handcrafted AMG 4.0L "dry sump" V8s thrust power into a new era. Twin turbos mounted inside the "V" force-feed massive boost to each Direct Injected cylinder, and deliver 60 mph in 3.9 seconds for the 456-hp AMG GT, or just 3.7 seconds for the 503-hp AMG GT S. And its ample torque is unleashed from the get-go with a growling exhaust note.

Stated rates of acceleration are estimated based upon manufacturer's track results and may vary depending on model, environmental and road surface conditions, driving style, elevation and vehicle load.

The 4-wheel double-wishbone suspension adheres to its racing principles, and to every curve and contour. Highly rigid, lightweight forged aluminum components include new direct-mounting of the rear coil-overs to the wheel hub carriers. Available 3-stage adaptive damping adapts to the road, the track, and with three modes, to your desires.

The AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package hones every aspect of AMG GT S performance to an even sharper edge. Dynamic engine and transmission mounts use electromagnetic fluid, progressively stiffening to keep handling precise. Power peaks over a wider rev-range in the Manual and Race modes. And chassis tuning is reprofiled for more aggressive handling.

Rigidly linked to the V8 by a carbon-fiber driveshaft, the rear-mounted 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT® DCT transaxle helps create the car's ideal 53:47 front/rear balance. With selectable modes and rev-matching, it's alarmingly quick yet astoundingly seamless. The AMG GT S adds a Race Start function and electronic limited-slip differential.

AMG DYNAMIC SELECT: A fresh twist on total control.

With AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, a twist of a console knob fine-tunes the car's character. Each mode adapts the throttle maps, gear changes, and more to your driving desires, from Comfort to Sport+. The modes can also tune in the available adaptive suspension and AMG Performance exhaust. An Individual mode lets you custom-tailor a mode all your own.

Crafted almost entirely from aluminum, the core of the AMG GT's impeccable performance is its high-strength spaceframe. Cast, extruded and stamped aluminum composes 97% of its weight, with magnesium and advanced polymers among the remainder. Weighing a mere 514 lbs, the spaceframe delivers class-leading torsional and longitudinal rigidity.

Innovative safety: An eye to the future, to look out for yours.

Standard COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS uses radar to continually monitor traffic ahead. If it detects that you're approaching a slower vehicle too quickly, it alerts you to brake. It can even start braking for you, to help lessen a possible collision. ATTENTION ASSIST® keeps its "eyes" on you, alerting you if it senses you're getting drowsy.

COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST may not be sufficient to avoid an accident. It does not react to certain stationary objects, nor recognize or predict the curvature and/or lane layout of the road or every movement of vehicles ahead. It is the driver's responsibility at all times to be attentive to traffic and road conditions, and to provide the steering, braking and other driving inputs necessary to retain control of the vehicle. Drivers are cautioned not to wait for the system's alerts before braking, as that may not afford sufficient time and distance to brake safely.
