    Crisp in corners, smooth as silk

    The AGILITY CONTROL suspension on the E350 Coupe instantly recalibrates to the road surface, for an ideal balance of control and composure in every situation. Sport tuning is included with the Appearance Package. On the E550 Coupe, a sport-tuned Dynamic Handling suspension lets you alter the damping rates, accelerator response and shift points with the touch of a button.

    Stops smarter, makes stop-and-go easier

    Lift off the accelerator quickly and Predictive Brake Priming sets the pads closer to the discs, for more immediate response when you hit the brakes. In the rain, Automatic Brake Drying gently applies the brakes periodically, to sweep away water build-up. During uphill starts, Hill-Start Assist helps prevent unwanted rollback. Dynamic Handling suspension
Engineered to meet the requirements of even more demanding drivers, the Dynamic Handling suspension alters the damping rates, accelerator response and shift points, all at the touch of a single button. The electronically controlled shock absorbers independently adjust for each wheel based on the current driving situation. A choice of Comfort and Sport settings lets you match the car's driving character to your mood.

Direct Injection

In our newest generation of gasoline engines numerous advances team up to deliver more torque over a wider range of rpm. Rapid-multispark ignition fires up to four times per millisecond, while advanced high-pressure Direct Injection microscopically tunes the fuel spray, reducing emissions, fuel consumption and noise. A lightweight diecast-alloy block, quicker and more widely variable valve timing, reduced friction, and clever "on-demand" ancillary components like the alternator further boost efficiency.

AMG twin 5-spoke wheels

Five pairs of thin spokes call attention to the light weight and rigidity of these race-bred wheels, as well as the impressive brake hardware. Staggered in width, the rear wheels and tires are wider than the fronts, for greater acceleration grip without sacrificing crisp steering feedback.

AGILITY CONTROL

Dynamic Handling suspension
Engineered specifically for performance driving, AGILITY CONTROL automatically adjusts the individual shock absorbers based on the road surface and the driver's current driving style. Valving inside each shock absorber automatically firms up during stronger body motions for sharper handling feedback and stability, and reduces the damping rates during gentler motions for a smoother, more composed ride.

AIRCAP

AIRCAP is an automatic virtual wind blocker, utilizing a speed-sensitive airfoil that rises from the windshield header and an automatically height-adjusting see-through mesh screen between the rear head restraints. AIRCAP helps keep top-down driving quiet and draft-free even at highway speeds. And unlike conventional wind deflectors, the rear seats remain fully usable.

Bluetooth
