For generations, the E-Class has been a wagon like no other. Spacious yet sporting, elegant without excess, it's attracted a legion of loyal followers. And yet it's not hard to see why other automakers have given up chase. Now the only European wagon in its class, the
E-Class has continued not just to set the standard but to raise it, again and again. And while its pure Mercedes-Benz character runs even deeper than its cargo bay, its fresh new design makes its outer beauty just as alluring.

A sports car that seats seven

With its crisp handling and smooth powertrain, the E350 Sport Wagon offers the rewardingly sporty performance you expect from every E-Class. The optional Wheel Package lets you make its aggressive design and athletic handling even more enticing, with 18-inch AMG wheels outside, and a 3-spoke sport steering wheel in your hands.  (Disclaimer)

Lower aspect ratio tires and accompanying wheels provide substantially increased treadwear, increased tire noise and reduced ride comfort. Serious wheel and tire damage may occur if the vehicle is operated on rough or damaged road surfaces or upon encountering road debris or obstacles. These tires are not designed for use on snow and ice. Winter tires mounted on appropriately sized and approved wheels are recommended for driving in those conditions.

Brighter, whiter and more in tune with human perception, the standard LED headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lamps please the eye in every way, from improved nighttime illumination to their distinctive presence. LEDs are elegantly applied for the other exterior lamps as well, culminating in sweeping new taillamps.

4-wheel Electronic Traction System (4-ETS)

4-ETS can help get you going even if three wheels lose their grip. Sensors at each wheel monitor traction based on wheel speeds. If one or more wheels start to slip, 4-ETS individually brakes the slipping wheels to maintain the flow of torque to the wheels with grip. Even if only one wheel has grip, 4-ETS can help get you going and stay in control.

Active Parking Assist

Active Parking Assist helps you size up parallel-parking spaces as you drive by, using sensors in the bumper to determine if a spot can fit your car. It then expertly steers the car into the space while you control the brakes and gear selection. When it´s time to leave, the system can steer you out of the parking space with equal ease. In any low-speed maneuver, PARKTRONIC's ultrasonic sensors in the front and rear bumpers help detect nearby objects within the system's field of view. Audible signals and illuminated displays in the cabin help you navigate tight spaces with confidence.

luggage cover

Keep your cargo out of sight with a retractable luggage cover that automatically rises and lowers with the power liftgate, to make loading and unloading simpler. A vertical mesh partition net attaches to the ceiling to divide the passenger and cargo areas. It can be positioned behind the 2nd row with the seat raised, or from floor to ceiling behind the front seats when the rear seats are folded.

LED headlamps

With longer life, quicker illumination and beams that approximate daylight even more closely than Bi-Xenon headlamps, the new standard LED headlamps enhance both vision and visibility during nighttime driving.

Lane Keeping Assist

With technology that monitors ordinary road markings, Lane Keeping Assist helps detect unintended drifting off-course, and alerts the driver by vibrating the steering wheel. If the driver continues to drift, available active technology can apply the brake to a single rear wheel to help guide the car back into its lane.

EASY-FOLD

The 60/40 split second-row seats let you increase cargo capacity with multiple configurations and maximum convenience. The standard EASY-FOLD system lowers each seatback with a simple pull of a handle. A center-armrest pass-through adds to its versatility when carrying long items. And the rear-facing 3rd-row seat folds flush in seconds to form a flat, carpeted cargo floor.

Luxury Wagon

Elegant new wheels and a dramatic new rendering of the classic Mercedes-Benz grille convey the refined aura of an E-Class Luxury Wagon. Its stand-up Three-Pointed Star leads a proud tradition from its command post atop the hood. Refined cabin appointments present countless technological advances with a sense of style and tangible evidence of the workmanship that evoke the deep E-Class heritage.

ATTENTION ASSIST® 2.0

The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST continuously monitors more than 70 different parameters of driving behavior in the first few minutes of a drive to establish a pattern. It can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on longer trips.

PRE-SAFE®

An enhancement to the groundbreaking PRE-SAFE system helps protect the occupants in a rear-end collision. A radar sensor in the rear bumper helps detect an impending impact, engaging the features of PRE-SAFE to better prepare the front-seat occupants and their restraint systems. It can also increase brake pressure, to help reduce peak loads on all occupants as well as the risk of a secondary collision.

PRE-SAFE PLUS

This advanced, radar-based cruise control monitors the vehicle ahead and adjusts your speed to help maintain a chosen following distance. Its stop-and-go function can bring the car to a halt if it senses stopped traffic, then resume automatically.

PRE-SAFE Brake

This advanced, radar-based cruise control monitors the vehicle ahead and adjusts your speed to help maintain a chosen following distance. Its stop-and-go function can bring the car to a halt if it senses stopped traffic, then resume automatically.

navigation

Using GPS technology and an 80GB hard drive to store maps, points of interest, and Zagat® Survey ratings for restaurants, hotels and golf courses, this virtual copilot provides detailed driving directions with remarkable speed and a friendly voice. The COMAND system's 7-inch color-LCD screen can also display gas stations, ATMs and Mercedes-Benz dealerships along your route.

Blind Spot Assist

At speeds above approximately 20 mph, if radar sensors in the rear bumper detect a vehicle in the "blind spot" area to either side, an indicator lights up in the appropriate side mirror. If you activate a turn signal while a vehicle is detected, a warning sounds. And if you disregard the alerts and begin changing lanes, available active technology can apply the brake to a single rear wheel, to help guide the car back into its lane.

COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST

This new standard safety innovation's radar-based technology alerts the driver if it senses a possible collision with a vehicle or certain stationary objects ahead. As soon as the driver steps on the brake pedal, its Adaptive Brake Assist automatically provides the ideal level of braking. And if deemed necessary, the system can also activate the features of PRE-SAFE®.

taillamps

Brighter than traditional incandescent bulbs, LED technology also delivers quicker illumination of the brake lamps. By offering drivers behind you more time to react, this could make a critical difference in a panic stop.

Bluetooth® audio streaming

Bluetooth audio streaming makes it even easier to enjoy your digital music player, allowing you to connect your Bluetooth-equipped iPod® or other MP3 player wirelessly to your vehicle's audio system for convenient, cable-free playback.

3rd-row seat

The folding rear-facing 3rd-row seat emerges from the cargo floor to accommodate two children, increasing total occupant capacity to seven. It's equipped with twinhead restraints, a pair of 3-point seat belts, and a retractable dual cupholders.

Panorama roof

Offering both first- and second-row passengers sweeping skyward views, this fully functional glass sunroof features a front panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide over the rear panel for an open-air feeling. Dual interior power shades allow occupants to adjust the amount of sunlight entering the cabin.

DISTRONIC PLUS

This advanced, radar-based cruise control monitors the vehicle ahead and adjusts your speed to help maintain a chosen following distance. Its stop-and-go function can bring the car to a halt if it senses stopped traffic, then resume automatically.

Daytime Running Lamps

Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps express the legendary four-lamp face of the E-Class in a decidedly modern style that is unmistakable, even at a glance. They illuminated whenever the car is switched on to help increase the visibility of your vehicle to oncoming traffic. The light-emitting diode (LED) lamps also offer long life and low energy consumption.

Sport Wagon

Distinctive wheels and bold body detailing highlight the E-Class Sport Wagon. A new slatted grille incorporates the Three-Pointed Star, reflecting its place among the most sporty Mercedes-Benz models. The sport-tuned suspension gives it a confident stance, set off by more aggressive sculpting of its bumpers and side sills. Countless cabin details express its performance-focused character.

instrumentation

A new 3-pod instrument cluster highlights the sweeping new dash and enhanced features of the 2014 E-Class Wagons. The classic tradition of Mercedes-Benz craftsmanship is apparent even in the most modern materials like the sleek metallic trim in a new Silver Shadow finish. Hand-polished wood complements the hand-fitted and precisely double-stitched upholstery in a refreshing palette of colors. And while a new central analog timepiece celebrates the iconic Mercedes-Benz sedans of the past, the multifunction steering wheel, central controller and standard COMAND system put the future at your fingertips.

rear view camera

Shift into Reverse, and a wide-angle camera mounted in the liftgate displays a live view of what's behind the vehicle on the COMAND screen in the dashboard.

Media Interface

The Media Interface turns your Mercedes-Benz into an extension of your iPod, compatible MP3 player or similar device. Browse, select and play your music via the vehicle´s standard audio controls on the console, dash and steering wheel, or the available voice control.

5.5L biturbo V-8

The handcrafted 5.5-liter V-8 of the E63 outputs thunderous power and torque with a lighter touch on the planet. Though lovingly brought to life by a single master engine builder, it's a high-tech powerhouse. Its twin turbochargers spin up to 185,000 rpm to dramatically boost low-end torque. High-pressure Direct Injection and rapid-multispark ignition respond with millisecond quickness. And with its standard new S-Model performance enhancements, it´s the most potent E-Class wagon yet, with 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

Intelligent Drive

Leading the way in driving safety and convenience has long been a core value of Mercedes-Benz. Intelligent Drive gives that philosophy a name, and it encompasses an ever-expanding universe of driving assists and conveniences whose roots trace to the invention of the Antilock Braking System (ABS). For generations, Mercedes-Benz has been pioneering safety breakthroughs that team up to help protect its drivers and passengers like no car before them, and which continually redefine the standards for all cars to follow.

4MATIC®

In any season or road condition, 4MATIC® all-wheel drive adds to your confidence and control. Always engaged and optimizing torque to every wheel, 4MATIC integrates with our standard Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) for maximum effectiveness in corners and slippery conditions.
