Lane Keeping Assist

With technology that monitors ordinary road markings, Lane Keeping Assist helps detect unintended drifting off-course, and alerts the driver by vibrating the steering wheel.

Rain-sensing windshield wipers

Rain-sensing windshield wipers automatically adjust the intermittent wiper frequency based on the amount of rainfall.

PRE-SAFE predictive occupant protection system

Included with the Driver Assistance Package is another Mercedes-Benz safety breakthrough. PRE-SAFE® is a predictive occupant-protection system that helps prepare for an accident in the critical moments before it occurs. If sensors detect certain vehicle movements that indicate that an accident is possible, PRE-SAFE takes action: Reversible electronic tensioners tighten the seat belts. The occupied front passenger seat adjusts to a more favorable position for air-bag and seat-belt effectiveness, while both active front head restraints adjust for optimum protection. If severe skidding indicates that a rollover is likely, PRE-SAFE closes the side windows. If no accident occurs, the seat-belt tensioners reverse, and you simply readjust your seat, open the windows and continue on your way.

PARKTRONIC with Advanced Parking Guidance

Advanced Parking Guidance helps you size up parallel-parking spaces as you drive by, using sensors in the bumper to determine if available spots can accommodate your vehicle. It then displays steering instructions to help you find your way into it. During any low-speed maneuver, PARKTRONIC's ultrasonic sensors in the front and rear bumpers detect nearby objects within the system's field of view. Audible signals and illuminated displays in the cabin help you navigate tight spaces with confidence.

Rear view camera

This innovative driver-assistance feature helps you to see directly behind your vehicle when reversing. Shift into Reverse, and a wide-angle camera mounted in the rear displays a live view of what's behind the vehicle on the COMAND screen in the dashboard. Active parking guidelines on the screen help you back into a parking space.

Compass display

A digital display in the inside rear view mirror indicates your direction of travel toward any of the eight main compass points.

Enhanced Voice Control

18-inch twin 7-spoke AMG wheels

The new Sport Package features lightweight, highly rigid 18-inch AMG alloy wheels with seven pairs of ultrathin spokes. Polished surfaces highlight the spokes and connect each adjacent pair around the rim, contrasted with black painted pockets for a distinctly racy look. Staggered in width, the rear wheels and tires are wider than the fronts, for greater acceleration grip without sacrificing crisp steering feedback.

Antilock Braking System (ABS)

Enjoy the strong, controlled stopping power of dual-circuit power-assisted 4-wheel disc brakes, backed by an Antilock Braking System (ABS). ABS senses impending wheel lockup under heavy braking and pumps the front brakes individually or the rear brakes together. This intelligent system can pump the brakes as needed up to 30 times per second, to prevent lockup and preserve the driver's steering ability.

NECK-PRO front head restraints

In the case of a rear impact exceeding a preset threshold, NECK-PRO front head restraints move forward and slightly upward, reducing the distance between the head restraints and the heads of front-seat occupants. This action helps to reduce the possibility or severity of whiplash-type neck injuries.

4-way power lumbar support for driver

For long-term comfort and lower-back support, the driver's seat offers a lumbar support that precisely adjusts in/out and up/down.

Ash Olive wood trim

Handcrafted Ash Olive wood adds a decidedly modern flair to the console, dash and doors with a low-sheen matte finish.

17-inch AMG twin 5-spoke wheels

10GB Music Register

KEYLESS-GO

A leap in ease and efficiency pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, KEYLESS-GO lets you unlock, start and drive away without removing the SmartKey from your pocket or purse. Electronic Stability Program (ESP®)

This safety breakthrough first introduced by Mercedes-Benz continually monitors your driving inputs and the vehicle's motion to help keep it going in your intended direction, especially in corners and during evasive maneuvers. If it detects wheelspin, severe understeer (plowing), or oversteer (fishtailing), ESP can brake individual wheels and reduce engine power to help bring the vehicle under control.

LED taillamps

LED taillamps offer a stylish three-dimensional effect, along with longer bulb life and lower energy consumption. LED turn signals are included.

Performance suspension with constant-ratio Direct-steer system

An exclusive option for the C250 Coupe, the Sport Plus Package includes a track-tuned suspension with beefier, more rigid components and exclusive geometry. In addition, the chassis is upgraded with perforated 13.5-inch front and 11.8-inch rear brake discs, the largest on any non-AMG C-Class. A performance-tuned exhaust emits a subtle growl, while enhanced tuning of the transmission yields quicker shift response and includes downshift rev-matching.

Lowered, sport-tuned suspension

C-Class Coupes boast firmer coil springs and shock absorbers, as well as a lowered ride height, for sharper handling response and a more aggressive stance.

Adaptive braking technology

Adaptive braking technology integrates a suite of advances. If you lift off the accelerator quickly, Predictive Brake Priming sets the pads closer to the discs for more immediate response when you apply the brakes. In the rain, Automatic Brake Drying periodically applies the brakes just enough to sweep water build-up from the discs. During uphill starts, Hill-Start Assist helps prevent unwanted rollback. And a HOLD feature can make long red lights or stopped traffic a little easier.

Auto-dimming rear view and driver-side mirrors

As sensors on the inside mirror detect the headlights of vehicles behind you, both the inside and driver-side mirrors gradually darken to reduce reflected glare. To help maintain your rear vision, dimming is automatically cancelled when you shift to Reverse or if an interior light is switched on.

LED Daytime Running Lamps

Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps help increase the visibility of your vehicle to oncoming traffic by illuminating front lights whenever the car is switched on. With long life and low energy consumption, the light-emitting diode (LED) lamps also add a distinctive high-tech styling touch.

Blind Spot Assist

When the vehicle is traveling above approximately 20 mph, this system uses radar technology to sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist then automatically alerts the driver via an illuminated red icon in the appropriate side mirror. The system also gives an audible warning if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot.

Active Blind Spot Assist

When the vehicle is traveling above approximately 20 mph, this system uses radar technology to sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist then automatically alerts the driver via an illuminated red icon in the appropriate side mirror. The system also gives an audible warning if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot. And if you disregard the alerts and begin changing lanes, advanced active technology can apply the brake to a single rear wheel, to help guide the car back into its lane.

Adaptive Highbeam Assist

Engineered to maximize road illumination without creating glare for other drivers. Adaptive Highbeam Assist (included with the optional Bi-Xenon headlamps) uses continuous input from a camera to automatically vary the range of your high-beam headlamps, based on the distance to oncoming vehicles and to those ahead of you.

Bluetooth audio streaming

Bluetooth audio streaming makes it even easier to enjoy your digital music player. It allows you to connect your Bluetooth-equipped iPod® or other MP3 player wirelessly to your vehicle's audio system for convenient, cable-free playback.

harman/kardon LOGIC7® sound system

Specifically engineered for the C-Class, this premium digital sound system fills the cabin with 450 watts of beautifully balanced audio. Digital Dynamic Volume Control imperceptibly maintains the sound spectrum for consistent listening pleasure in varying driving conditions. Dual-zone automatic climate control

Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a dust and pollen filter that helps keep particles as small as 0.0002-inch from entering the cabin.

Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination

Bi-Xenon headlamps help deliver greater visibility than halogen headlamps because their brighter, whiter light is much closer to natural daylight. Active Curve Illumination helps you see better into corners at night, swiveling the headlamps as you steer to increase usable illumination by up to 90% over conventional fixed headlamps.

4-wheel Electronic Traction System (4-ETS)

For optimum traction, even in slippery conditions, 4MATIC all-wheel drive incorporates our advanced 4-wheel Electronic Traction System. 4-ETS can help get you going even if three wheels lose their grip. Sensors at each wheel monitor traction based on wheel speeds. If one or more wheels start to slip, 4-ETS individually brakes the slipping wheels to maintain the flow of torque to the wheels with grip. Even if only one wheel has grip, 4-ETS can help get you going and stay in control.

Seat belt technology

Arguably our most important passive safety feature, all four 3-point seat belts are equipped with Emergency Tensioning Devices (ETDs) and belt force limiters. If a collision exceeds a preset threshold, ETDs instantly remove slack from the seat belts. Belt force limiters allow a slight amount of give in the seat belts, to reduce the peak seat-belt forces on the occupant.

Headlamp washing system

A high-pressure spray of fluid helps remove road spray and dirt from the headlamps, to help keep them at their maximum lighting performance.

Rear side-impact air bags

In addition to the 9 standard air bags in the C250 Coupe, side-impact air bags are optionally available for each rear seating position.

Panorama roof

Offering both front- and rear-seat passengers sweeping skyward views, this fully functional glass sunroof features a front panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide over the rear panel for an open-air feeling. ECO Start/Stop system

A fuel-saving new ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.

3-spoke multifunction steering wheel

The C-Class sport steering wheel features pronounced contours, thick padding and a Premium leather-wrapped rim with perforated side grips, putting the delights of precise handling literally in the driver's hands. Convenient multifunction controls do likewise while operating the most frequently needed vehicle functions. Raised thumbrests are placed at the ideal "10 and 2 o'clock" positions, near the paddle shifters, while the racing-inspired flat-bottom design facilitates ingress and egress.
