A radical rethinking of the automatic transmission, the SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 7-Speed uses a multiple-disc wet clutch for direct connection between engine and transmission. The result is a full, constant power flow and outstanding throttle response.
DCT 7G
AMG SPEEDSHIFT® DCT 7G Transmission
Appearing in the AMG GT, it combines the transmission, differential and rear axles into a single unit. That gives the vehicle ideal weight distribution, handling and balance, and allows it to shift in under 100 milliseconds.
PLUS 7G-TRONIC
AMG SPEEDSHIFT® PLUS 7G-TRONIC Transmission
For the SPEEDSHIFT® PLUS 7G-TRONIC 7-Speed, a lockup torque converter helps reduce slippage and enhance acceleration, making it an excellent fit for vehicles with high torque, like GLE 63 S.
TCT 9G
AMG SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9G
This is the perfect gearbox for cars like the 6-cylinder GLE 43 Coupe and the C 43 Sedan. It delivers quick, almost imperceptible shifts with nine speeds so it can rapidly adjust to any driving situation.

AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9G
The world’s first 9-speed multi-clutch transmission uses a wet startup clutch and magnesium casing to save weight and improve performance. Shorter shift times and multi-gear downshifts add to the aggressive feel.
