Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator
<p>Electrifying the inline-4 gasoline engine is an innovative Integrated Starter-Generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery to supply power for some formerly belt-driven components such as the water pump, reducing weight and enhancing underhood packaging. In addition, the electric assist can generate additional, gas-free power and torque (up to 23 hp and 148 lb-ft) for swift response.</p>
PRE-SAFE
<p>A Mercedes-Benz first, PRE-SAFE® can detect instability during certain vehicle maneuvers that suggest a collision or rollover is imminent. It can then tighten the front seat belts, adjust the front passenger seat, and close the windows and sunroof, all in an effort to better prepare the occupants and restraints in the moments before a collision. If no accident occurs, the seat-belt tensioners reverse, and you simply readjust your seat, open the sunroof and continue on your way.</p>
64-color LED ambient lighting
<p>A network of LEDs can create not just a soothing ambience in the cabin, but one you can alter to suit your mood, or even create one. Along with 64 individually selectable colors, variable brightness and three lighting zones, 10 color moods can combine or sequence colors.</p>
HANDS-FREE ACCESS
<p>HANDS-FREE ACCESS lets you power-open or close the liftgate with a gentle "kick" of your foot under the rear bumper. It's a convenience you'll really appreciate when you've got an armful of packages.</p>
