<p>The CLA 250+ with EQ Technology is powered by an advanced 200kW electric motor that can send up to 268 hp and 247-ft of torque to the rear wheels with exceptional efficiency and smoothness. Mounted at the rear axle, the "permanently excited synchronous motor" (PSM) employs magnets that use nearly no rare earth elements.</p>
Rear Cross-Traffic Assist
<p>To help make backing up safer, as when exiting a parking space, this can help detect a potential collision with an approaching vehicle or pedestrian or an obstacle behind you. A Driveaway Assist feature can also apply the brakes if it detects a nearby object in your path when you shift from Park into Drive or Reverse.</p>
