Dual permanently synchronous electric motors (235 kW total)
<p>Smooth, quiet and torque-rich, the dual electric motors total 235 kW output. They can distribute up to 315 hp and 564 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. The "permanently excited synchronous motors" (PSMs) feature permanent magnets to generate AC current with high power density and efficiency. An advanced cooling system helps maintain consistent response in spirited driving and a range of climates. The front motor can decouple when not needed, to enhance range, and re-engage in 100 milliseconds.</p>
Fully variable 4MATIC all-wheel drive
<p>In any season, on any road, 4MATIC® all-wheel drive adds to your confidence and control. In the EQE, the dual electric motors allow its 4MATIC system to fully vary the torque distribution between the front and rear axles. Continually monitoring for wheel slip and other parameters, the system can quickly reapportion the torque in response to changing driving conditions. And since the function is a built-in benefit of the dual motors, it adds virtually no weight to the vehicle.</p>

<p>Five sets of intricate yet elegantly modern spokes feature machine-finished surfaces contrasting gloss black details. Aerodynamically optimized, the sizable 20-inch wheels are fitted with range-optimized summer tires. All-season tires are available as well.</p>
Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX)
<p>A breakthrough in automobile cockpit control, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience is further enhanced in the EQE. MBUX integrates digital in-dash displays including touchscreen technology, touch-sensitive controls, Bluetooth® hands-free and audio streaming, and an industry-advancing voice control system that responds to your everyday speaking voice and phrasing of commands. You can set up multiple user profiles of favored settings, and groups of settings can be saved as themes or moods.</p>
MBUX Navigation with Electric Intelligence
<p>The advanced MBUX Navigation offers intuitive operation and a choice of input methods such as touch controls and the natural voice recognition of "Hey, Mercedes." In the EQE, Electric Intelligence helps plan the fastest and most convenient route option, dynamically factoring traffic, topography, ambient temperature, as well as charging needs and options along a route. Active Range Monitoring can further help the driver maximize range along the way with useful information and suggestions.</p>
