4MATIC fully variable all-wheel drive
<p>A specially engineered version of 4MATIC® can automatically send from zero to 100% of the engine's torque to either axle, front or rear. A transfer case with a multi-disc clutch can vary the torque distribution based on the driving conditions in the moment. While this allows for precise response to varying surfaces and individual-wheel traction off-road and in inclement weather, it can also enhance handling in any season by favorably influencing the vehicle's rotation.</p>
Digital Extra: Distance Assist DISTRONIC
<p>A Mercedes-Benz innovation, Distance Assist DISTRONIC® cruise control uses radar-based technology to adapt your set speed in response to the flow of traffic ahead. If the vehicle ahead slows to a stop, it can brake to a full halt. When traffic moves, you can resume with just a tap of the accelerator or "resume" button, or it can resume automatically if the stop is sufficiently brief.</p>
Heated and ventilated front seats
<p>Heated and ventilated seats are a luxury you'll soon consider a necessity. Three levels of heating and cooling ventilation are offered. By gently circulating air through perforations in the seat and backrest, the seats help keep you cooler and your clothes drier during warmer months. On cold or damp days, using both the ventilation and heating features together can circulate the seat heating more quickly, to help keep you warm and dry.</p>
Power-folding 50/50-split 3rd-row seats
<p>The 50/50-split 3rd-row seats in the GLS can be individually folded flat in less than five seconds at the touch of a button. When used in combination with the standard power-folding 2nd-row seats, this standard appointment gives you easy access to nearly 85Â cu ft of cargo space. A single button in the cargo area lets you fold down all the rear seats with one touch.</p>
MBUX Superscreen
<p>A major achievement in automotive displays, the Superscreen unites an LED instrument cluster, and two LED touchscreens behind a single cross-cabin span of high-strength, fingerprint-and scratch-resistant glass. Features include permanent soft keys for primary controls, and innovative "zero-layer" intelligent menu surfacing.</p>
