Plug-In Hybrid technology
<p>Advanced 4th-gen Plug-In Hybrid technology delivers numerous electric-car benefits while retaining the convenience of a gasoline engine. The compact electric motor can deliver a substantial boost in power and torque, or let you drive up to 54 miles on battery power alone. Charging can come from the gas engine and regenerative braking, or plug it into an ordinary AC outlet to go from 10 percent to fully charged in under three hours. Standard 60kW DC charging can go from 10 to 80 percent in 20 minutes.</p>

PRE-SAFE
<p>A Mercedes-Benz first, PRE-SAFE® can detect instability during certain vehicle maneuvers that suggest a collision or rollover is imminent. It can then tighten the front seat belts, adjust the front passenger seat, and close the windows and sunroof, all in an effort to better prepare the occupants and restraints in the moments before a collision. If no accident occurs, the seat-belt tensioners reverse, and you simply readjust your seat, open the sunroof and continue on your way.</p>
64-color LED ambient lighting
<p>A network of LEDs can create not just a soothing ambience in the cabin, but one you can alter to suit your mood, or even create one. Along with 64 individually selectable colors, variable brightness and three lighting zones, 10 color moods can combine or sequence colors.</p>
