Not just any vehicle qualifies to be Certified Pre-Owned. To be considered, dealers must ensure vehicles meet following requirements:
- Less than 6 years old
- Less than 75,000 miles
- Serviced according to schedule
- Includes a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report
It passes a 165+ point inspection.
Performed by our dealer’s technicians, the vehicle inspection starts with the exterior, making sure the structure and appearance meet our standards. It continues inside with a full review of the finishes, seat belts, flooring and more.
Next, the inner workings of the vehicle are evaluated. Components like the electrical systems, engine, fluids, filters and transmission are thoroughly checked. Our dealers ensure that the tires are Mercedes-Benz approved, and all recall campaigns and standard services are performed before it’s ready for the road.

Every Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz is backed by the remaining 4-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Once that expires, the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty goes into effect, providing an additional 12-months of coverage with unlimited miles. The CPO Limited Warranty: What’s Covered?
Under the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty, any authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will make the necessary repairs or replacements to correct defects in material or workmanship. Components covered include, but are not limited to:
