With the Concept A Sedan, Mercedes-Benz unveils an inspired new take on the compact vehicle. Building on the success of the CLA and GLA lineups, the Concept A Sedan epitomizes the "sensual purity" design philosophy with a stunning, streamlined look.
At first glance, the shark-like nose and triangular headlamps give a forward thrust to the Concept A profile. The headlamps themselves feature an all-new grid structure coated in UV paint and exposed to ultraviolet light, giving them a unique glow that changes depending on the outside environment. Drawing even more attention to the impressive front end is the Panamericana grille, the stretched hood with parallel Powerdomes, and the full-width lower air intake, outlined in dark chrome for a decidedly menacing presence.
From there, the Concept A extends elegantly toward the rear. The door handles are flush with the body, adding to the continuous shape, the panoramic glass roof gives it a glistening sheen, and the exclusive 20-inch wheels radiate technical precision. The rear itself emphasizes the vehicle´s width - nearly 74 inches - with stylish black and chrome trim.
The Concept A Sedan recently made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, and it provides a unique glimpse of the future of compact vehicles from Mercedes-Benz.
