Charging with NACS
Access NACS DC fast charging stations with a Mercedes-Benz Fast Charging Adapter.
Want to charge at a Tesla Supercharger? Now you can.
Mercedes-Benz EV drivers are now able to access DC fast chargers that use the North American Charging System (NACS), including over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers, using a Mercedes-Benz Fast Charging Adapter. There’s no need to download any additional apps — payment is streamlined through your MB.CHARGE Public account.
What's needed? A Mercedes-Benz DC Fast Charging Adapter.
Charging your Mercedes-Benz EV at a Tesla Supercharger station requires an adapter. We strongly recommend the Mercedes-Benz DC Fast Charging Adapter to connect the NACS charging cable to the charging port on your all-electric Mercedes-Benz.
Adapters are now available for purchase through an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer.

Initiating a Charging Session
To get started, confirm in the Mercedes-Benz app that you have a Mercedes-Benz-approved adapter: Tap “Charging Status & Settings” and when prompted, toggle “NACS DC Adapter” on to indicate that you have the adapter. NACS-enabled fast charging stations will shortly appear on your vehicle navigation display and app and will be included when routing your journey.
What is the North American Charging Standard (NACS)?
The North American Charging System (NACS) is a charging connector that enables access to DC fast charging systems like Tesla’s Supercharger network.
Starting in 2025, select Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle models will come equipped with the NACS charging port, and gradually all EVs will be designed to be compatible with this charging option.
FAQS
For vehicles with CCS1 inlet (EQB, EQE, EQS, G580), a NACS to CCS1 adapter is needed to charge your Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle at stations with NACS charging connector, such as Tesla Supercharger stations. The adapter, approved by Mercedes-Benz, connects the NACS-equipped charging cable to the CCS1 port on your Mercedes-Benz EV and is used ONLY for DC fast-charging. Do not use the adapter for AC charging (ex. home wallbox or Level 2 public charger). Mercedes-Benz has extensively evaluated and tested the recommended adapter to ensure the safety of use and its compatibility with your vehicle. MY26 electric vehicles come equipped with this adapter. Other customers may purchase the approved adapter through a Mercedes-Benz dealer.
For the CLA with EQ Technology, the vehicle comes standard with a CCS1 to NACS adapter for DC fast charging at stations with a CCS1 charging connector to connect to the NACS port on the CLA. This is the only adapter approved and recommended for use with your vehicle.
For vehicles with CCS1 charging inlet, confirm you have the adapter in the Mercedes-Benz app by toggling on the "NACS Adapter" under Charging Status & Settings. This will allow you to locate and route to Supercharger stations. At the station, you can start a charging session through your vehicle’s display or the Mercedes-Benz app. Connect the NACS to CCS1 adapter to the cable, then insert the adapter into your vehicle and the session will begin momentarily. Please be aware that Tesla policy prohibits the use of third-party adapters that are not sold or distributed by an automaker.
For CLA with EQ technology, no adapter is required at Tesla Supercharger stations since they are equipped with NACS charging connectors. Check your vehicle display or app to see which Tesla Supercharger locations that are compatible with the voltage of your vehicle.
