Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator
<p>Electrifying the inline-6 gasoline engine is an innovative Integrated Starter-Generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery to supply power for formerly belt-driven components like the water pump and air-conditioning compressor. These advancements help reduce weight and enhance underhood packaging. In addition, the electric assist can generate additional, gas-free power and torque for immediate response.</p>
4MATIC fully variable all-wheel drive
<p>A specially engineered version of 4MATIC® can automatically send from zero to 100% of the engine's torque to either axle, front or rear. A transfer case with a multi-disc clutch can vary the torque distribution based on the driving conditions in the moment. While this allows for precise response to varying surfaces and individual-wheel traction off-road and in inclement weather, it can also enhance handling in any season by favorably influencing the vehicle's rotation.</p>
AMG body styling
<p>Designed by the performance-minded artisans at Mercedes-AMG, the GLE's muscular lines are further defined by a deep front apron with larger, louvered outer grilles, a silver chrome insert in the sculpted rear bumper, and color-keyed fender flares and side sills. The wide grille presents a field of tiny Mercedes-Benz Stars, with a single crossbar anchoring the iconic central Star.</p>
64-color LED ambient lighting
<p>A network of LEDs let you create cabin ambience to suit your mood. Edge-lighting outlines the dash/door trim and console grips, and casts a glow in the footwells, door handles and door pockets. Along with 64 selectable colors and adjustable brightness, numerous programs let you enjoy two colors at once, or slowly changing hues. The dash lighting briefly acknowledges your climate-control adjustments. And a "light show" greets your arrival.</p>
Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX)
<p>The Mercedes-Benz User Experience is a breakthrough in automobile cockpit control that keeps advancing. MBUX integrates digital displays including a touchscreen, touch-sensitive controls, and an intuitive, intelligent voice control system that can respond to your natural voice, learn your habits, and grow smarter over time. Added personalization lets you set up seven user profiles of settings in the car or from your phone, and can pre-position the driver seat and mirrors based on your stature.</p>
