Handcrafted AMG 2.0L inline-4 turbo with hybrid assist

The first "43" engine handcrafted in the AMG "One man, one engine" tradition applies technology from Formula 1® racing to advance performance with efficiency. A pioneering electric exhaust-gas turbocharger and belt-driven Starter-Generator team with advanced fuel injection, friction reduction and multi-level engine cooling. The result is an impressive output of 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque from a compact, lightweight and decidedly modern 2.0L 4-cylinder engine.

Electric exhaust-gas turbocharger

The AMG GT 43's innovative electric exhaust-gas turbocharger is derived from the race-winning technology of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1® team. A thin 48-volt electric motor, integrated directly on the shaft between the turbine and compressor wheels, can accelerate the compressor before the exhaust-gas flow takes over. The innovative 175,000-peak-rpm turbo helps maintain boost pressure and improve engine response from idle to high rpm, even when the driver lifts off the gas.

Multistage active rear spoiler

An electronically controlled spoiler deploys in five angle/height stages based on speed and driving mode. From 0-50 mph, it lies flush for a clean look and parking protection. Above 50 mph, it can deploy at any of five different angles to help enhance stability, rear-end downforce and overall drag.

Obey local speed and traffic laws.
Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC

A Mercedes-Benz innovation, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® cruise control uses radar-based technology to adapt your set speed in response to the flow of traffic ahead. If traffic slows down, it can reduce your speed automatically until your path clears. If the vehicle ahead slows to a stop, it can brake to a full halt. When traffic moves, you can resume with just a tap of the accelerator or cruise control resume button, or it can resume automatically if the stop is under three seconds.

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC is not a substitute for active driving involvement. It does not adapt cruising speed in response to stationary objects, nor does it predict the curvature and lane layout of the road ahead or the movement of vehicles ahead. It is the driver's responsibility at all times to be attentive to posted speed limits, traffic and road conditions, and to provide the steering, braking and other driving inputs necessary to retain control of the vehicle. Drivers are cautioned not to wait for the system's alerts before braking, as that may not afford sufficient time and distance to brake safely. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake maintenance, and tire and road conditions. See Operator's Manual for system operating speeds and additional information and warnings.
3rd Generation Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX)

The Mercedes-Benz User Experience is a breakthrough in automobile cockpit control that keeps advancing. MBUX integrates digital displays including a touchscreen, touch-sensitive controls, and an intuitive, intelligent voice control system that can respond to your natural voice, learn your habits, and grow smarter over time. In the AMG GT, 3rd-gen MBUX features a fast, powerful single processor, simplified icons more like smartphone tiles, and a range of new capabilities.

Bluetooth® interface does not provide phone charging or external antenna. Compatibility, features and pairing may vary based on user's device. Bluetooth is a registered trademark of Bluetooth SIG, Inc.
Requires an active Mercedes me account, available at no charge. See Operator's Manual for additional information.
